Complimented by her happy groom Edwin 🙂 Their whole wedding day was set to their tune; bright, warm and full of joy, making it an easy pleasure to enjoy working for them. We regularly shoot Melbourne Chinese wedding videos, but there are always common elements (like tea ceremonies, lots of gold and multiple dress changes) and also unique elements (like the couples’ personalities, their history and the all of the things they enjoy together). We watch carefully for these details, as both of them define the couple, and contribute essential footage to their wedding video 🙂

Annie + Will were very kind and generous to us. Getting to know them as we prepared for the day had us feeling like we were shooting at an old friend’s wedding, so we had a very happy time with them and all their guests 🙂

We shot, cut and screened this video all on the same day, at Joy and Alan’s wedding in Daylesford 🙂

We met Joy and Alan only once before their wedding, for their initial meeting before they booked us for their wedding video. They’re a lovely, relaxed couple, and through a series of emails we got a very good understanding of what they imagined for their wedding video. At their wedding, it was a very fun, and very pretty day all throughout Daylesford. And lots of challenging steadicam: running backwards, running up and down slippery hills. Up stairs, down stairs, through tight halls and packed rooms. But check it out, everything worked beautifully 🙂

The internet is so slow in Indonesia, so it takes FOREVER to do anything online. Especially with video files this large…

Edwin and Ruth celebrated part 2 of their wedding at the Conrad Hotel in Bali, Indonesia. We shot their wedding video, and prepared this Same Day Edit for them too. Again, the main foundation of this video is the story they shared during their vows. The rest of the wedding activities are included around that focus. It was challenging to balance their playfulness leading up their ceremony, their affectionate words during their ceremony, and the strength of the song that this video is built on. By the end of the video I was able to bring everything together with their kiss and the cross. Perfect 🙂

We shared some of Henry and Valentine’s Pre Wedding videography Melbourne session pics a few months ago. Of course they were the ones to set the overall look of the photos, and you could probably see that they’re quite a playful couple.
And now, if you’re still curious, we have their PreWedding video to elaborate their story. We shot this in a single day, at a pace comparable to a wedding video shoot (very fast!). But our work was so thorough that we didn’t need to reshoot anything 🙂
They both absolutely loved the video, and screened it only a day ago during their wedding in Indonesia. They’ll return soon, with lots of time for us to prepare to do their wedding photography and wedding video when they get married in Melbourne at the end of the year.

Film is more about showing than telling, so we don’t usually build a wedding video around verbal content. However, Ruth and Edwin’s wedding vows were a rare exception and couldn’t be excluded from their wedding video. We hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed producing it 🙂

This is just the first part of their wedding, which was held in Melbourne. The second part of their wedding will be in Bali, early July 🙂 We should be able to share their Bali wedding video immediately, because we’re producing a Same Day Edit for them there!
